Italian Contemporary Art from Italian Collections: Dawn of Tomorrow

Exhibitions

Presenting a selection from private Italian collections, this exhibition opened a window into the world of western collectors from Turkey. Works selected and sent by the collectors themselves were brought together to be shown for the first time at the Elgiz Museum. Based on the emotional, intellectual and causal relationship between the collector and the artwork, the exhibition presented the recent Italian contemporary art scene to Turkish and Italian audiences. Some works by Italian artists from the Elgiz Collection, the host of the exhibition, were also included in this selection. Thus, the Elgiz Collection revealed its artistic kinship with collections in Europe.
