'Unrestricted', a new selection from the Elgiz Collection, has been established as the new collection exhibition of 2011 until the major 10th Anniversary exhibition in September. The exhibition brings together new works that have been added to the Elgiz Collection in recent years, as well as previously unexhibited pieces, emphasizing the transcendent nature of the collection across cultural and visual boundaries.

The new selection also included works by Chinese artists Pan Yue, Chun Hai, and Luo Jie, the products of artistic emancipation after the Cultural Revolution. Other artists exhibited together for the first time at the museum were Bjarne Melgaard, who is of Norwegian descent and continues his work in New York; Turkish artists Güngör Taner, Bedri Baykam, Azade Köker, Aslı Torcu, Alev Gözonar, Ebru Alpagut, Ebru Uygun, Murat Germen, Mustafa Kula, Erdoğan Zümrütoğlu and Pınar Yolaçan; British artist Paul Hodgons, American artist Donald Baechler and Dutch artist Daniele Kwaitaal.
