The Elgiz Museum continues its Terrace Exhibitions series in its 1500 square meter open-air exhibition space in Maslak, which displays an impressive visuality among sculptural buildings. The independent series, which are not organized around a specific idea or theme, take the age range of the artists as a reference.
Launched in 2012 and featuring the works of sculptors under the age of 40, the Terrace Exhibitions have been decided to become traditional. The Advisory Board, consisting of Seyhun Topuz, Rahmi Aksungur, Nilüfer Ergin, Haşim Nur Gürel, Can Elgiz and Rahmi Aksungur, evaluated the applications of sculptors under the age of 40. This year, the exhibition has taken on an international dimension with the participation of Australian sculptor Andrew Rogers as a guest member.
Works that defy the Ayazağa wind can be seen together in an unusual space. In the shadow of the skyscrapers, visitors can watch art from a different corner.
Proje4L/Elgiz Museum of Contemporary Art, which has prepared a dynamic new season program in various dimensions of contemporary art, brings art lovers together with sculpture through its Terrace Exhibitions with current and striking examples, while offering a different art stop with the only changing open-air exhibition space in Istanbul.
The works of 27 sculptors were selected for the 2013 Terrace Exhibitions <40. Participants; Ahmet Özparlak, Arif Çekderi, Aşan Akın, Aynur Öztürk, Bahadır Çolak, Caner Şengünalp, Çağdaş Erçelik, Çayan Yılmaz, Dağhan Yürürler, Derya Özparlak, Dilşad Akçayöz, Esra Sağlık, Ezgi Sönmez, Kağan Toros, Malik Bulut, Nermin Ülker, Onur Kaçmaz, Pınar Yılmaz, Serdar Kaynak, Seval Şahin, Tanzer Arığ, Tuğba Özbağkıran, Tuğberk Selçuk, Tuğçe Yücetürk, Uğur Çakı, Ümit Turgay Durgun and Zeynep Birced.
The Terrace Exhibitions <40 was extended until December 28th due to intense interest.
