The summer season at the Elgiz Museum started with the Terrace Exhibitions, organized for the third time this year. Hosting the works of young artists under 40, the Terrace Exhibitions<40 were on display until August 23rd.
Unrest in society, oppression, problems of modern life, fear, hope... These are just a few thoughts that the sculptures exhibited on the terrace of the Elgiz Museum reflect to the viewer. Upon closer inspection, there are 32 sculptures referring to violence against women, skyscrapers where we spend our lives and daily problems. This year's exhibition is organized with the support of the Guggenheim International Directors Council. Billur Tansel, director of the Elgiz Museum, says the following about the works in the exhibition: 'In independent series that are not organized around a specific idea or theme, project proposals are nevertheless shaped by a specific agenda. These themes often focus on social concerns and anxieties.
